The Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation invites you to join us for our annual Tree of Life & Memories Ceremony on Thursday, November 12th, 2026, at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.

The Tree of Life & Memories is a cherished holiday tradition that brings our community together to honour and remember loved ones, celebrate the special people in our lives, and reflect on the memories that remain close to our hearts.

Through this meaningful initiative, community members can dedicate a light on our Tree of Life & Memories in honour or in memory of someone special. Each light represents a life, a memory, or a heartfelt tribute, creating a beautiful symbol of love, remembrance, and hope during the holiday season.

Simply click the "Light A Tribute Bulb" button above to make your dedication.While our tree will officially be illuminated during our ceremony on November 12th, tributes will be accepted from November 1st to December 11th, 2026. All tributes will be posted by December 18th, allowing families and friends to share in these meaningful dedications throughout the holiday season.

Your support of the Tree of Life & Memories also helps the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation continue its mission of enhancing healthcare services for the people of the Burin Peninsula.

The Tree of Life & Memories campaign begins each November with the lighting of the Christmas tree at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre. As tribute bulbs are sponsored throughout the holiday season, the tree continues to shine as a reflection of the stories, memories, and connections that bring our communities together.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, the 2025 Tree of Life & Memories campaign raised more than $35,000 in support of the Foundation’s Patient Comfort & Care Program.

These funds help provide medical transportation assistance for local patients, ensuring individuals and families across the Burin Peninsula can access the care they need, when they need it.

Our Tree of Life & Memories is an annual holiday initiative of the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation. The campaign returns each November, when community members are invited to sponsor tribute bulbs and participate in the tree lighting ceremony.

We look forward to lighting the tree once again this holiday season.
