Adopt A Resident is one of our most heartwarming holiday initiatives.
Each Christmas season, the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation invites our community to “adopt” a resident living in long-term care by sponsoring a special holiday gift.
With the generosity of donors, we help ensure that residents at U.S. Memorial Long-Term Care Facility in St. Lawrence and Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank receive a thoughtful gift that brings warmth and joy during the Christmas season.
Each $25 donation helps provide a Christmas gift for a resident living in long-term care. These gifts are a simple but meaningful reminder that our community is thinking of them during the holidays. For many residents, this gesture brings comfort, connection, and a sense of belonging during the Christmas season.
Adopt A Resident runs during the Christmas season each year. Donations typically open in November, with gifts delivered to residents before Christmas. If you would like to participate this year, please check back in the fall or follow us on social media for updates.
