Each holiday season, the Tree of Life & Memories shines as a symbol of remembrance and reflection across the Burin Peninsula.

Through this special tradition, families and community members sponsor tribute bulbs in memory of loved ones, creating a shared space to honour those who remain close in heart during the Christmas season.

The Tree of Life & Memories campaign begins each November with the lighting of the Christmas tree at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre. As tribute bulbs are sponsored throughout the holiday season, the tree continues to shine as a reflection of the stories, memories, and connections that bring our communities together.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, the 2025 Tree of Life & Memories campaign raised more than $35,000 in support of the Foundation’s Patient Comfort & Care Program.

These funds help provide medical transportation assistance for local patients, ensuring individuals and families across the Burin Peninsula can access the care they need, when they need it.

Our Tree of Life & Memories is an annual holiday initiative of the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation. The campaign returns each November, when community members are invited to sponsor tribute bulbs and participate in the tree lighting ceremony.
