Adopt A Resident

They say the joy is in the giving...

Updated December 8, 2021

What more can we say, other than THANK YOU!  It's heart-warming to witness the outpouring of generosity from our local communities around Christmas-time.

Because of your donations and support, all long-term care residents in our Adopt-A-Resident program have been adopted, and each will receive a personally chosen gift this Christmas.  Our "Secret Santa" staff at Eastern Health have been working behind the scenes, meeting with each resident, and shopping for the perfect gift to make their Christmas extra special this year.

If you have completed our online form below to Adopt-A-Resident, or have been in communication with our office, but have not yet sent us your donation, can can still either:

  • Send your e-transfer to [email protected]
  • Send your donation in the mail at PO Box 340, Burin, NL A0E 1E0
  • Drop off your donation to our office at the BPHCC, next to the Gift Shop

We kindly ask that all donations to Adopt-A-Resident be sent no later than Monday, December 13, 2021.

If you planned to Adopt-A-Resident this year, but hadn't done so yet, please don't be disappointed.  Instead, we kindly ask that you direct your generosity towards one of the many local charities and non-profit organizations in our communities that are working to make Christmas special for those in need.

This Christmas, spread the joy of the season by Adopting a Resident at one of our local Long-Term Care Facilities, right here at home on the Burin Peninsula.

A donation of $25 will give a Christmas present to one long-term care resident living in either US Memorial Long Term Care Facility in St. Lawrence, or Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank.

A special thank you to Eastern Health staff at the BPHCC, US Memorial and Blue Crest Nursing Home for their "Secret Santa" work.  Because of them, each Christmas gift will be personally chosen based on the needs of each individual resident and hand delivered before Christmas.
