Vanessa Jackman, Executive Director

Vanessa Jackman is the Executive Director of the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation. Vanessa previously worked for the Foundation as a student in 2010, and has since worked for eight years as Business Development Officer at College of the North Atlantic, as well as in positions with Eastern Health and the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Memorial University, and is currently working toward a Certificate in Art and Design Essentials from College of the North Atlantic. She is an active community volunteer, well known for her involvement in the arts community on the Burin Peninsula, and has served with the Burin Heritage Tourism Association, Stage Left Productions, and as choir director for St. Patrick’s Parish. Vanessa resides in Burin with her son Charlie, and their dog Presto.

Betty Harding, Executive Assistant

Betty Harding is the Executive Assistant of the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation. Betty lives in Burin Bay Arm with her husband Shawn and two children, Caroline and Christina. Previous to working with the BPHCF, she was a stay-at-home mom, working occasionally with Securicor as an ABM Servicer. Betty completed a 2 year Office Administration course at CNA in 1997, and has been and active volunteer with Girl Guides of Canada since 2010 as a Brownie leader with the Burin Unit.
