Mrs. Audrey Reid of Baine Harbour was happy to deliver a gift donation amount of $2000.00 from the Bayview Seniors Group in Arnold’s Cove. Audrey’s sister, Barbara Barrett has been president of the group for a number of years and said with great sadness that the group was no longer able to continue, but decided they would distribute the group’s assets to various charities in the region. The building that the group used for thirty years has been given to the town of Arnold’s Cove to use as a community centre, and they have given gift donations to the Fire Dept. in Clarenville as well as to the Clarenville Hospital. The gift to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation will be designated to a trust fund now in place for the Kidney Dialysis Room Upgrades here at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.
Board Chair, Jerry Pike, “ I am honoured that the Bayview Seniors Group choose the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation as one of their charities of choice and am sorry to hear that the group is unable to continue their generous work. On behalf of the board I thank you and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.”
